Aoudad (Barbary Sheep) / Rough to the Touch
Click on layout to enlarge...
The Aoudad is a Barbary sheep with bristly reddish to sandy brown outer coat and a lighter under color. Both males and females have a heavy fringe of hair on their throat and tail. Both sexes carry thick triangular-based horns with a pattern of fine rings and curve over their back in a half circle. The Aoudad is native to the rocky and arid mountains of northern Africa. Their diet consists of sparse grasses, lichens and bushes.
Life span approximately 20 years / Weight 66-319 pounds / The female Aoudad gives birth twice a year and their newborns can climb the rocky hills almost immediately after birth. The Aoudad has such great jumping power that they can clear a 6.6 foot obstacle with ease from a standing start.
Sketch action by Trish Jones.(Note: after I ran the action, I turned the picture black and white , which I then tweaked, to get the effect I wanted.)
Note1: I modified some of the alpha. I didn't want all the disks to be the same color (and didn't want to mess with the hue and saturation) so I cloned some of the characters out, then I extracted the correct character which I then inserted in the disks)
