A Girl & Her Dog / Loveable
Speedy doesn’t like bath days, though he doesn’t fuss much. He just stands there, as if frozen, until he is ready to be dried.
Kaylie usually cradles him in her arms like a baby and holds him while I blow dry his hair. He does love the warmth of the hair dryer.
On bath days, I also wash his favorite blanket. He doesn’t like anyone taking his blanket so I usually have to have someone distract him while I grab it.
He loves it when it comes out of the dryer because it is very warm. He always hides underneath the blanket for an hour or so until until the warmth dissipates.

Abuela Maria / Rooted in the Past / Birgit Kerr
Birgit Kerr has a new genealogy collection that is absolutely fabulous. This kit has just about everything that you would want or need to complete a book. It has an alpha, definitions, charts, clipping masks, a paper pack with 14 12x12 richly textured ans subtly patterned papers and a pack of papers 24x12 to make scrapping double-pages a breeze! The double pages come in handy for the pie chart type of family trees that go back many generations!
This is my paternal grandmother, Maria Villanueva. I recall seeing her once when I was a young child. On her deathbed she asked to see us but Mom received the message too late. (I don't even know when this photo was taken; she died at age 47)

Good News!
Liam has begun 2nd grade this year and I've just received notification that he has been accepted to the Academic Talented program.
He began school on Sept. 8th and I haven't received a behaviour card or call from his teacher yet... I guess she'll let me know how he is doing on Parent/Teacher day coming up Sept. 24th.
Kaylie likes school and likes her teacher, too. Unfortunately, her best friend Kaitlynn is not in her classroom this year. :( Third grade is proving to be rather difficult for Kaylie. She really needs to step up, which means that I need to spend even more time with her helping her with her homework and drills. 4859

Project 365
I've begun uploading my photos at my other blog:
Daily Snapshots: Kait's Project 365
I've also added a feed on this blog, which shows you links to the latest posts. I am only up to the middle of June, but I will make a concerted effort to at least get the photos uploaded and then will worry about the pages for them.Project 365
Origami Dreams / Hoppin' Frog Jamboree
Origami Dreams - layout done for an origami-inspired challenge at Srapbookgraphics.
This layout is two-fold. I first printed 2 bg. pprs. from the kit, which I used to create my origami fishes and whales. I then extracted the whale and fish to use in my digital page.
Note: I warped a musical notes element into a heart shaped element to frame the two frogs in love.
