Disney Album Printed / Persnickety Prints
I am so excited! I tweaked all of my Disney Word vacation layouts (all 46 of them), saved them as jpegs and uploaded them to PERSNICKETY PRINTS Tuesday night.
It's been almost 5 months since I went on vacation and hadn't printed any of the pages. Printing at home would have cost an arm and a leg in ink cartridges alone. Printing at Walmart or Costco, while reasonably priced, wasn't an option either because I find that they don't pay careful attention to the prints so edges get cut off.
Considering that I spend 3 to 4 hours on average when making my pages and fixing the photos, I can't afford to have shoddy printing.
But I digress, I got my prints in the mail today and they are F A B U L O U S! The prints are razor sharp, clear and colorful. I don't mean oversaturated pages - the colors are brilliant and spot-on.
Uploading my pages to the website was easy. I especially liked that it has a sensor that gauges the print/photo resolution and lets you know if it is sub-par.
They were running a special on Super-bowl Sunday that came at the right time. The 12x12 prints were priced at $1.89 vs. their regular $1.99, and I also got free shipping. The turnaround was quick. I ordered the prints close to midnight on Tuesday, got confirmation from Persnickety on Wednesday that the order had been printed and shipped. They supplied a confirmation tracking number so I could track the package, which got to me this afternoon.
This is the 2nd time that I order prints from them and I am super happy with the quality of their work/prints and will order from the again!
Wow, can I just tell you that I love, love, love the scrapbook album. The pages are fabulous and it is so rewarding to finally see the work on print. The pictures, the stories, the details, the many hours that I sat at the computer sweating the details - all totally worth it.
I decided to get prints instead of a bound book because I am a n a l about the sequence. I still have a ton of pages to scrap and I also want to include photos within the book, too. And of course, I want them all in sequencial order.
So, as far as my book order sequence goes, I decided on the following order:
1- pre-trip pages covering the planning and details of the trip
2- Resort/Hotel pages (dets. about the resort/amenities and overall exp.
3 First day happenings at Planet Hollywood and Downtown Disney
4 Hollywood Studio pages
5 Epcot pages
6 Animal Kingdom pages
7 Magic Kingdom pages
Below, I am sharing photos of the album, with close-ups so you can appreciate the details. I have uploaded most of the pages that you are seeing here, but there are a few that I haven't posted online. 16307
