Something to Smile About (Disney LO #30)

See those smiles? Those are true smiles...not the cheesy smiles I often get. They just found out they were going to Disney World! 15939

Something to Smile About (Disney LO #30)

Disney Vacation (Disney LO #11)

All summer long I had been hard at work planning our trip to Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Day in and day out you saw me sitting at the computer researching and compiling information about the attractions, entertainment, hotels, and restaurants. I told you that I was doing this research as a favor to Maria because she was going to Disney World and didn’t have time to do her own research, which was partially true.

I desperately wanted to tell you, but decided against it because you would be too wound up all summer long, and wouldn’t be able to sleep or eat as the vacation date grew closer.

I had to sneak around to get things done without rousing your suspicion, but it worked!

You were both incredulous when, an hour before we had to leave for the airport, we told you that you were both going with me on a DISNEY VACATION! Liam had a huge grin on his face; Kaylie was really emotional so she cried.

Now, look at my children here...they look so young! This photo is from 2005.
Since I hadn't scrapped in quite a long time, I worked on 2 text paths for my journaling. :)

Hello My Friends,

My computer is finally fixed! It took a while to get it done, but it is finally home! And I am so very happy. Now, I have to make clean out the hard drive and my externals. It is amazing the amt. of stuff I have stored in them. As I started to go through the drives, I realized that my taste in designs have matured quite a lot in just 2 years. I can't believe some of the stuff I purchased from "good" designers that are absolutely hideous! :) They were "good" at the time, but just horrible by today's standards.

I finally got a chance to scrap two pages for a blog play day over at Scrapbookgraphics. 8669

Winter Storm Photos, Part 2

I love the way the light is streaming through the snow and giving it a blue hue.

I haven't seen the Cardinal in months. This is the first time I have seen him perched in my tree. The following day I saw his mate.

Mourning Dove.

Dark-eyed Junco eating seeds.

Love his ruffled feathers.

Kaylie spent about 3 hours outside in the snow having fun. She wore 2 pairs of pants, 2 shirts, heavy gloves, 2 hats and heavy winter boots. However, that didn't stop the snow from accumulating in her boots. Here, you can see the pockets of snow in her pants...poor thing...her skin was so cold and red.

A veritable wonderland.

Our next door neighbor helping us clean the sidewalk and yard.

Liam gathering snow to make his biggest snow ball.

She is having a blast sliding down the snowpile in our front yard.

On top of the world...well, the snow pile, really.

Our grill...check out the snow accumulation.

The snow mound in our front yard...

I love nautical/maritime kits so I was thrilled when I found My Little Sea Adventure in the store. Mystique used a beautiful color palette of blue, green and tan and included a lot of fun elements, such as waves, crabs, 3 types of fishes, shark, clouds, boats, lighthouse, foliage, bird silhouttes, palm trees and island. This kit is perfect for scrapping pictures of your kids in the pool, at the lake or at the beach.
