First Snowstorm of the Season

All bundled up ready to go out to play in the snow.

We didn't get a white Christmas, but did get a whole lot of snow the day after Christmas! It started snowing around 12:00 noon and was still snowing when I went to bed at 11:oo p.m. We got about 18 inches of snow.

Sneak attack in the snow.

Mom, did you know that I love, love, love snow.

Liam all bundled up "shoveling" snow off of the front entrance.

Mom, take one more picture of me sitting on this snow pile.

I can shovel snow just like Dad.

Wind gusting while my husband is trying to clean our driveway.

My house.

My front-yard garden/bushes.

Good-bye Autumn. Winter is here.

Wonderful Winter

The weather this year has been crazy. It seems that every time we turn around, it is snowing. The kids love it, though, especially Kaylie. She loves the cold weather, and tries to spend as much time as possible outside. Liam is not crazy about the cold, but she always manages to convince him into going with her. Snow angels, shoveling and forts were the order of the day.

Winter Landscape / IO Simplicity

This is another layout done with the Impressions of Simplicity collection. The grass overlay (on the lower right hand corner) and the snow overlay are by Lorie Davison and not part of the kit. The antique typewriter key alpha is by JenU @ SBG. I used a template from template pack 32 by Cindy Schneider @ Peppermint Creative.
These are some of the photos that I had previously posted in my JUST FOR TODAY post of February 28, found HERE. 7503

Winter Storm 2010: Photos Part Deux/Bike Riding in the Winter

For a closer look, click on photos to enlarge.

Sliding down a mound of snow...

Come on bike, let's get you out of the pile and on to the sidewalk. Daddy still wants me to help him clean up so I have to ride you to avoid doing any actual work. I hope he doesn't notice my ruse!

Wheeee, watch me ride my bike like the wind...

Ok, here I go again!

You know Mom, this snow is not deep enough to deter me from riding my bike.

Look, Mom, I am on the tree, not using my hands!

Winter Storm 2010 - The Photos

FOR A CLOSER LOOK, CLICK TO ENLARGE.
This is the view as seen from the left side of our house. As you can see, everything is blanketed in snow.

The view across the street. The snowflakes are swirling all around me. It is amazingly beautiful to be in the middle of the flurries.

This is our house.

Another photo of our property...just look at the amt. of flurries swirling around and the piles of snow.

This is the view of the load leading away from our house.

Our next door neighbor's property. The pine tree branches are laden with snow. It rather like this vintage look.

More snow across the street. The pine trees look so pretty.

My footprints. Evidence that I was out and about...

Waiting for spring...

Kaylie loves to play in the snow a lot! Here she dragging the shovel as she heads towards the house to warm up.

Sure, Mom, I will help shovel the snow. Where do you want me to put it?

Look, Mom, this is what I need the shovel for? See it underneath me?

I know that this photo looks amost washed out, but I like the sunflare streaming in from the trees and onto her.

Dear husband cleaning out the 2 car garage. Hang in there, you only have 1 side of the 2-car garage to go. Oh, and make sure you clean it good, we really want the municipality plow to have a clear driveway so they can dump all of the snow they clear off of the street back onto our property!

Poor birds...it is so windy and snowy that they can't get the seeds out of the feeder.
