Project 365: Jan 4th

Halo, is there anyone out there that wants to chat with me?

This is another shot of her that I love. I straightened out her hair yesterday so her ponytails free flow and don't curl up. One of her gifts was a craft set so she could make her own jewerly. She is sporting a new necklace she made. She loves to gab on the phone and was working it good for this photoshoot. :)

Jan 4th - 8 Years Old

I can't believe that my baby girl is already 8 years old. I snapped this picture of her this morning. She is looking so very grown-up. 2678

Project 365 - Jan. 2nd

Wooden lion from a house in our neighborhood. There are 2 of them flanking the entrance to a house. They are beautiful. The carving detail is amazing. They always stand out to me because they look out of place. They belong to a house in the country...a manor, not a development-type house. 2651

Look who turned 6 years old today!

He has the creamiest skin...with a few freckles here and there. Soooo cute. I love his eyes, too. Ok, I am biased.

The minute that I saw this flower, I knew that I wanted to take a pict. Not that I need a reason, mind you.

I just really liked the way it was set against the blue sky.

POA - May 6

Mama bird feeding her baby bird. I saw her go into her nest (hole) and drop the worms in. I caught her just as she was exiting the nest to get more yummy worms. Yuck!

Photo A Day - May5th - Weeds and Wildflowers

Well, hello there Ms. Dandelion. What are you doing standing there all by youself? Has anyone ever told you that the color of those bricks totally enhance your beauty? Get out, noone!?

No, I am not crazy. :) Maybe it's a side effect of the poison ivy that has taken over my body. Boy, do I itch!

Photo A Day - May 4th - They Make Me Proud

Is this not the cutest picture of them that you have seen in a while? They were playing in the front yard, just minding their own business, when I got the idea to just take a couple of candid shots. Even Liam cooperated! Wonders never cease.

Photo A Day - May 3rd - Flowers for You

Isn't she the sweetest girl ever? She was playing in the backyard, shadowing her daddy like she does Every Saturday and Sunday :), when came upon the patch of wildflowers that are growing by the shed, and had to pluck them just for me.

I am waiting for Liam to bring me "happy, wiggly worms" any day now. Thank God for the Robins who are happily munching away!

Photo A Day - May 2nd - Kaylie Is Being Disrespectful to Me!

Apparently, playing in the computer for a couple of hours is not enough time for Mr. Liam.

After I forcefully removed him from the computer to give Kaylie a chance to play, Mr. Liam had a tantrum. I gave him a time out on the stairs. He was furious. He screamed at me, "Kaylie is being disrespectful to me!" I asked how so. He said, "She won't let me play in the computer! Hmp! Yeah, right, she won't let YOU play in the computer. Poor boy, he is so MISUNDERSTOOD.

POA - May 1st

These are flowers from my garden. DH just cleaned the flower beds and applied cedar mulch to them, so they are much happier now. I love how they sway to the direction of the sun.

PAD27 - Mallard Duck

We went to Alanna's birthday party yesterday and on our way back we stopped at Woolman's Lake. This beautiful specimen was leisurely swimming in the mucky frozen water. I applied a watercolor filter to the photo, which you are able to see if you click on an enlarged version.

PAD26 - Have You Ever Seen A Torie?

This well-fed soldier is a re-enactor of the American Revolution (1775-1783). His enemies call him a torie. He calls himself a loyalist. He is a member of the Loyal American Regiment (LAR) which was a battalion of nearly 400 New York loyalist colonists who fought on the side of England in the American Revolution. They wore green coats in the first years of the war, and the switched to the traditional redcoat of the British Army.

Isn't this a cute little fat bird? He came close to the backdoor and I was able to snap this shot of it just as the wind was ruffling its feathers. Click on it to see an enlarged version.

PAD21 - A is for Apple

Isn't this a luscious looking apple? Kaylie has always loved fruits, but Liam is just beginning to try them. Apple is the fruit "du jour" of the moment for him.
