Zoo Album

Day at the Zoo by Phuong Ton at Scrapbookgraphics

See the cute little title tag? I made that with DAY AT THE ZOO by PHUONG TON. I still haven't scrapped any of the photos from the zoo, but I will - very soon. I got my photos and the kit...all I need now is time!
This little albums has 50 photos thus far. He is taking it for show and tell tomorrow. He loves the photos.

Prairie Dog.
Liam and Me.
Peacock

Pelicans
Bald Eagle
5/8/2009 - Zoo trip. That darn rain finally stopped. It's been raining for over a week non-stop! Liam was really excited to go to the zoo. I was one of many class chaperones. Luckily, 12 parents went with their children which gave the chaperones an extra pair of eyes. As always, I forced myself to take some photos for posterity. Here are a few of my favorites. Enjoy!

White Rhinoceros
Grant's Zebra

I used a WATERMARK action by Wendyzine at Scrapbook-Graphics to mark my photos.

We have been to Great Adventure so many times this summer I can't even remember what trip number this is. These last 2 times that we have gone to the Wild Safari have been great as the animals have been crossing the road and getting near our car thus giving us a chance to see them up close and personal. I avoided the Ostrich though he came awfully close to us...within pecking distance. The giraffes were all out, as were the zebras. We really got a good look at the Red Ankolis and the Gnus. The black bears and the brown bears were all napping though I got a shot of a mother in her den, not a good shot mind you, a so-so one. Shooting pictures through the window is not good. I need a bigger zoom lens, too. My poor Canon Powershop is doing its best, but its 12x zoom is not far enough. I shouldn't complain. It has served me well during these last 3 years. I should start saving my pennies to buy a better camera next year.
I hope you enjoy the picts. :)
Hugs,
Kait

Thursday at Last

Nothing much to report here...finally the weather has cleared up, the flowers are blooming and the birds are chirping.

2 days ago I got a note from Liam's school informing me that he has been recommended for the gifted and talented program. Testing is slated to begin next week through June 13. Though there is no guarantee that he will be accepted to the program, I hope so. He is super bright and needs to be challenged more so than he is now. I know he is in Kindergarten but he should be in 2nd grade level.

Last week I wanted to take him to the zoo, but couldn't. Speaking of Zoo, Little Dreamer has a challenge going and they are giving away a super cute zoo sampler.

I recently saw a super cute hybrid card over at Scrapmatters. Leslie was nice enough to share the template with all. Thanks!

I love wordart, but am not so good at creating it myself. I did see a cute wordart sampler over at the Hawt Mama Team Blog...want to see it?
