Engrossed in a Book / Don't Eat Worms

I love how Liam was so engrossed in reading his book that he was oblivious to everything else. I wanted to convey that sense in my page thus the reason I used a transparency, yet kept his hands and book quite visible. I wanted it to look as if the imaginary world was emerging from his readings...and he'd be looking down at it.

My DS engrossed reading his CAPTAIN UNDERPANTS book. He's got quite an imagination!

If you've been visiting my blog for any length of time you will already know that I have a crush on Lorie Davison.

She is a fabulous illustrator, an uber talented designer and most importantly, a sweet, caring and warm person. I look forward - with child-like enthusiasm - to each and every one of her creations. I wish I had an inkling of the talent that she possesses in one finger, so to speak.

What's that? You don't know who Lorie is? Want to know what other projects she has in the works? Check out this article and don't forget to download a sample of her upcoming work: DON'T EAT WORMS.

And don't forget to participate in the challenge... here's an except from the interview about it:

Our readers can ask you questions and you can answer them. Then, next Sunday, I’ll randomly pick one person from the comments section to win a kit from your store and another to win a copy of the Dreaming of Dragon’s End storybook quick page set! We’ll also give away one of your kits and a copy of Dreaming of Dragon’s End to a couple of participants in our Lorie Davison Play Day! Anyone that creates a layout with their Lorie stash and posts it in our Play Day gallery or forum, will be entered into that drawing for a chance to win!

Are you feeling lucky? :) 5037
